Paper greeting cards without any type of glitter, foil, Mylar, or plastic coatings may be recycled. Cards with glitter, foil, Mylar, or plastic coating belong in the trash. You can tell by pinching the edge of the paper and tearing or pulling it apart slightly. If you see a plastic or foil layer appear, then it’s trash.
