Cartons

Cartons and aseptic containers are not recyclable within the Addison County Solid Waste Management District. Please discard them as trash. Aseptic containers, commonly containing shelf-stable juice, milk, or soup, are made up of several layers of paper, aluminum foil, and polyethylene. Similarly, milk and juice cartons have layers of paper and wax or polyethylene. These layers must be separated to recycle the containers. Unfortunately, there is currently no local facility that can achieve this separation.
