Some types of this item cannot go in the trash in District towns per District Ordinance

Disposal Options

You can bring a bathtub or bathtub surround to the District Transfer Station. Non-metal bathtubs will be disposed of as trash. Bathtubs that are at least 80% metal may be recycled as scrap metal (metal items larger than one cubic foot or greater than 25 pounds must be separated from the trash per District Ordinance.) If your bathtub is still in good condition, please consider donating it instead! Visit our donations page for more information.
